See not with your eyes but with your mind.
Hear not with your ears but with your heart.
Feel not with your mind but with your soul.
There is always more than one perspective to every tale.
Learn to see beyond the external husk of humanity, to peer beyond the obvious into the depths of the human psyche. See not only the mortal, temporal body but the intangible, mystical soul. Beware of the blinding effects of emotion, of hope and sometimes trust. We do not live in a 2-dimensional world.
Much easier said than done, but still learnable to a certain extent. There may not be an absolute truth to everything, but at least we'll get a bigger, better view of the world around us.
Pity this does not ameliorate myopia or astigmatism.
