The Longest Day

And today shall be the longest day of school in my uni life, with lessons from 9am to 9pm with only a 3 hour lunch break and a 1 hour dinner break.

Public holidays used to be days of leisure and rest, but for NUS students, public holidays simply mean days of disruption as classes have to be rescheduled, creating pile-ups like today.

But with an unexpected turn of events, I now get to go home earlier today: one of my professors has fallen ill and therefore has cancelled his class today, allowing me to attend an earlier lecture that covers almost the same material as the evening lecture scheduled for today.

So I guess today is not going to be that long a day afterall, although it will still be my longest day in university to date...

And there's still the makeup in lieu for that cancelled class today...

Oh well, another few more months and public holidays revert to their original status of days of leisure and rest. But then again, what's there to stop employees from working on especially because of deadlines?

Oh, the horror.
