Like a Boat Adrift

There once was a man by the name of Zhuang Zhou who once said:

"The skilled labours,
The intelligent worries.
The incompetent seeks nothing and wanders around
when his stomach is filled,
Like a boat which breaks free from the rope
and sways gently on the water."

Ah, the price of progress as we clear one gantry after another, trying to jump higher and higher. Although there is no limit to how high one can jump, surely there is a point where enough is enough.

Why do we have to push ourselves to run this endless loop? Why do we entrap ourselves in this wheel inside this box with four walls and four corners? This rat race is getting pointless and tiring. Everyday I just wake up drained as if there never was yesterday but just a continuous, neverending today.

I miss that nice, warm bowl of porridge.

No time, no time, it's back to that treadmill again. Today is but yesterday, just like tomorrow will be. . . today.
